Temu, the sibling app of Pinduoduo, has expedited its speed of expansion into Europe by beginning sales of ultra-low-priced items in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Italy, and Spain.
Additionally, Temu has begun sales of ultra-low-priced goods in the United Kingdom. Temu is currently available in ten countries and is running a deal in which customers receive free shipping.
The company also discounted some goods by 10%.
Temu operates a marketplace that sells a variety of products, ranging from bridal attire to cooking utensils and electronics, and many of the products have prices that are lower than 5 euros.
According to mobile intelligence company Sensor Tower, the application was made available for the first time in the United States in September of last year and has since been downloaded 33 million times.
